A Historic, One-of-a-Kind Warehouse Wedding Venue 

One of the best parts about hosting a wedding at 6th and River? You get the sleek industrial energy you would expect in a big city, surrounded by a small town that feels like a movie set.

6th & River is one of the only warehouse wedding venues in the entire area. Built in 1902, by the Katz brothers, the building was home to the Katz Underwear Company. 

Today, the building has been reimagined and restored, blending its original bones - soaring ceilings, exposed brick, oversized windows - with thoughtful updates that honor its past while creating space for something entirely new. It now houses a mix of local businesses, including our venue, and sits perched above the Lackawaxen River, just one block from Main Street in the heart of Honesdale.

Whether you're drawn to its urban vibe, the story woven into its walls, or the simple magic of this small town, 6th and River is a place where history and celebration meet, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

What Sets 6th & River Apart 

Just two and a half hours from New York City and three hours from Philadelphia, this restored warehouse venue features stunning architectural elements, including exposed brick walls, 25-foot wood-beamed ceilings, and 18 large windows overlooking the Lackawaxen River that bathe the interior in natural light. The space feels both grand and cozy as these elements combine to create an unmistakably lovely atmosphere.

In addition to these unique design elements, the space also features a bridal suite overlooking the reception space, comfortable restrooms, and a separate catering and preparation area. You will also have access to the adjoining room for additional seating, a ceremony space, or a cocktail hour. All rental packages also include Wedding Management Services through our sister company Lovely Weddings and Events, and you have the option of adding on a post wedding breakfast or afterparty in our first floor facility “The Kitchen - at 6th and River”

When you book 6th and River, you also get something couples often spend months searching for - a trusted planning partner. Every wedding here includes coordination with Lovely Weddings and Events, a respected planning company known for their thoughtful approach, logistical expertise, and calm, professional presence on wedding days.

Lovely works with couples at venues across the region, but exclusive to 6th and River and New Leaf Farm, their coordination services are included with every wedding package. Once you’re booked, you’ll gain access to their custom planning portal to keep everything organized. Your dedicated event manager will build your timeline, confirm details with your vendors, and ensure everything flows seamlessly from start to finish.

If you're looking for more support, you’ll also have the option to upgrade to Signature or Full-Service Planning at a discounted rate - available only to our couples.

Here are some of the most common questions about hosting events at our 6th & River warehouse event venue. 

  • Absolutely!

  • There are several local churches within blocks of 6th & River.

    Or you can have your ceremony on-site at 6th & River in our connecting event space

  • You are responsible for securing a licensed caterer and bartender, entertainment, table linens, and additional decor.

    For more details, check out our Preferred Vendors.

  • As we share the building with other businesses, those businesses and the hallways around them are not available, except for Rustic Charm Vintage Rental which can be added as a cocktail hour space for an additional fee.

  • It depends on the type of event. The event portion of a wedding is 5.5-6 hours.

    We’ll discuss all these details during your tour.

  • Yes, there is a private lounge that overlooks the reception space.

    Many couples also use our private lounge to relax with their wedding party before the main event, and some use it as a place to sneak away during the reception. There are many creative ways to use this space.

  • There is an outdoor porch downstairs from the venue.

    Plus, you’ll find several picturesque spots within walking distance of the warehouse for photos, especially along the river bridge, only steps away from the building.

  • Yes! There is a ramp outside to access the building, and there is an elevator on the main floor.

  • 6th & River includes a prep area with ample counter space, two refrigerators, and a large 2-bay sink.

    If requested, there is an additional kitchen area on the main floor that can be rented for an additional fee for your caterer.

  • There is a parking lot for the building as well as street parking.
